The President’s Evening is usually one of the highlights at the end of a WPS season.
One year, to help members get to know him better, our president decided to hold the President’s Evening early in the season.
The president has a free choice of subject. Very often, they give a fascinating talk about their background and how they got into photography.
When lockdown started in spring 2020, it was Trevor, then WPS Vice-President, whose expertise helped WPS be so quick off the mark with online meetings.
As a teaser, Trevor sent us these images, and writes:
A night with Bleriot’s first cross channel flight, the Advanced Passenger Train, a nuclear accident and a few creepy crawlers.
Why on earth is Nicolas Cage mentioned? And why did a £10 note make Trevor both proud and very angry at the same time.
Oh, and there may be an aircraft or two……
