President’s Welcome 2026/27
Welcome to the Winchester Photographic Society website!
Whether you’re a current member or considering joining us, we hope you find all the information you need here.
As one of the largest and most active photographic clubs in the South of England, we welcome photographers of all levels.
We offer a diverse and engaging speaker program.
Non-members are welcome to attend our Tuesday meetings at our new venue, the Tower at King’s School. Just turn up, pay the visitor’s fee, sign in, and take a visitor badge. If you decide to join, your visitor fees can be refunded against your joining fee.
We strive to be a welcoming and friendly society.
We encourage our members to broaden their photographic capabilities and experiences, through both learning (guest presenters, internal tutorials and workshops, and special interest groups) and experience (outings, exhibitions and competitions).
Join our Beginners’ group to get started or move on to our Improvers’ group to take your skills further.
Our expert members, many of whom have won national and international awards, are also here to support you.
My Presidentʼs theme for this year, and for the Society Competition Night in April 2027 is Interaction, encouraging members to discover other like-minded photographers and spurring on improvement.
Don’t miss a highlight of our year, the Annual Print Exhibition, which showcases members’ work at the Winchester Arc in the late spring.
