An informal monthly competition for the most liked post in the Members’ Facebook Group.

Note: When a post contains multiple images, Facebook maintains separate counts of likes for the post and for each of the images in the post.

We calculate the score for such a post by combining the list of members who liked the post with the name of those who liked any of the images and then eliminating duplicates. This gives the number of separate members who liked the post and/or one of its images. We use the COUNTA(UNIQUE()) spreadsheet formula.

If you imbed an image or an album from another source on facebook such as your own account, this may not count towards the WPS “most liked” competition because likes could come from outside WPS .

If necessary to resolve a tie we may discount liking your own post.

First place in October with 27 Likes was Corinne Kozok’s image from the PAGB Inter-Club Print Championships held on 24 October at Harper Adams University near Telford. Thanks to our placing in the SCPF league, WPS was one of three clubs representing SCPF.

The top four were

      • Occasionally I set out to take B&W photographs, but colour ends up working better.
      • This is Studland beach this morning, at high tide, where trees, gorse, grass banks and much of the beach have been claimed by the sea over the past couple of years. This tree is putting up a fight but will probably follow its horizontal neighbour quite soon.
