WPS Images of the month

An informal monthly competition for the most liked post in the Members’ Facebook Group.

All images © their respective authors.

Note: When a post contains multiple images, Facebook maintains separate counts of likes for the post and for each of the images in the post.

We calculate the score for such a post by combining the list of members who liked the post with the name of those who liked any of the images and then eliminating duplicates. This gives the number of separate members who liked the post and/or one of its images. We use the COUNTA(UNIQUE()) spreadsheet formula.

If you imbed an image or an album from another source on facebook such as your own account, this may not count towards the WPS “most liked” competition because likes could come from outside WPS .

If necessary to resolve a tie we may discount liking your own post.

      • Back in 1980, I was in Marwell Park, close to where I lived in Fair Oak. I was a member of Marwell Park and eventually their Photographic Society. I had my Minolta XD7 on a tripod and I was photographing the antelope in front of Marwell Hall. Suddenly, a voice behind me said, that looks interesting, and David Attenborough was standing behind me. He looked through my camera and we had a chat. I was too shy to ask for a photo, and selfies were unheard of.

      • Very patient Robin managed to keep still for 1/25th of a second exposure in natural light, the chicks didn`t.
