30 November 2021 – Gavin Bowyer
Below, Gavin Bowyer describes the timetable for the 2022 Annual Exhibition and his plans to help and encourage more members to enter.
The evening will include presentations by several WPS members who have have been successful in previous years, with their advice on how to choose your entries for the exhibition.
This season we will have a physical print exhibition in The Discovery Centre (DC), Winchester as well as an online gallery.
Members will be invited to submit up to 12 entries. The submitted entries will be PDIs; successful entrants will then be asked to provide the prints that will be exhibited, and the PDIs will be exhibited online too.
We are keen to draw in entries from as many WPS members as possible, and are acutely aware that in previous years only about 20-25% of the membership has been exhibited. To this end, we are organising events to encourage more members to enter.
This evening presentation will include presentations by several WPS photographers who have enjoyed successes in the annual exhibition, each offering their advice on how to choose your entries for the exhibition.
We will follow this up in December and January with opportunities for mentorship and advice for those considering entry and requesting help with selecting their images.
