The Tower, King’s Community Centre
Main Meetings
Visitors and potential members are always welcome.
Our main meetings are held on most Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm from September to May/June at The Tower, Kings’ Community Centre, Romsey Road SO22 5PN
Free parking is available on site.
If you are travelling by public transport from central Winchester, you can use bus routes 5 and 66 which operate throughout the day including our meeting times.
Directions to the Tower
From central Winchester, go up Romsey road towards Romsey.
After the hospital and the Prison, go straight across the roundabout where Chilbolton Avenue joins, continuing up Romsey Road.
At the next traffic lights, turn right into Kings Road and follow the road which leads into the Kings’ Car Park (see map above).
The foot path to the Tower auditorium leaves from the back of the car park, round the Tower to the red glass entrance door.

Hampshire Record Office
The cinema at the Hampshire Record Office is a second meeting location, used when the Tower is unavailable for Tuesday meetings, normally the second Tuesday of each month..

Car parking in Winchester
In July 2023, Winchester City Council introduced evening parking charges in central Winchester. This includes the Tower Street car park where many members used to park.
If you are willing to walk a little further, car parks which are less central, such as the old Cattle Market, Coach Park and Worthy Lane are still free in the evenings.
