WNE 2021 Introduction
Winchester National Exhibition
Were you looking for the 2022 Winchester National Exhibition?
For WNE 2021, entries closed early because we reached 3000 entries
We’re sorry for anyone who had been working towards the deadline of 30 June.
Because remote judging is a slower process, we had announced that we might have to close early to restrict the number of entries to what could reasonably be judged inside a single day.
We hope you’ll try again next year when, touch wood, we won’t need to set such a low limit on entries.
2021 sees the sixth Winchester National Exhibition – an exhibition of projected digital images.
In light of the Covid uncertainties, we have decided to judge the exhibition remotely.
This is a slower process than our usual face to face judging, so entries to the exhibition will close at midnight after the 3,000th entry is received or on the 30th June 2021, whichever comes sooner.
The exhibition is organised by Winchester Photographic Society and is affiliated to British Photographic Exhibitions (BPE), thereby allowing photographers to gain BPE Crowns for any acceptances.
Who can enter
Winchester National Exhibition 2021 is open to any photographer, amateur or professional, who is resident in the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or BFPO addresses. Entries into any of five classes can be submitted in May and June and the resulting exhibition will be shown in September 2021.
Three nationally accredited judges select the winning images, awarding, in each class, First, Second and Third places, three Judges’ Choices, the best image by a WPS member and several Certificates of Merit.
The winning images and a selection of the accepted images will be presented in September 2021 at a WPS meeting, to WPS members and invited guests.
All winning and accepted images will be displayed on this website from September to December 2021.
