PDI League table for 2024-25
At the end of the season a trophy is awarded to the winner of each league.

If a tie occurs, the trophy is awarded to the person with the greatest number of first, then second, then third places and finally Highly Commended.
If there is still a tie, the trophy will be shared.
Distinctions: Many congratulations to members who achieve new distinctions. Please update your profiles in WebCollect and PhotoEntry, and tell the Competition Secretary.
This countback system for resolving ties is now implemented in the spreadsheet for every round.

About Paul Hendley
Paul is a member of Bracknell Camera Club.
He qualified as a judge on the SCPF circuit at the end of 2018 and is now a Level 2+ judge.

I am a retired scientist who spent 60+ years believing I did not have an artistic bone in my body. Having seriously adopted photography at retirement, I have found it allows people like me to create something they (and others) can feel is beautiful. This has been eye-opening and very satisfying and, coming from a science background, it has been illuminating to start to learn the extent to which photographs can play directly on the emotions irrespective of their technical characteristics. An OU course helped me grasp the technical basics and I read extensively and attended many workshops etc. to extend my skills and knowledge culminating in my successful LRPS panel and CPAGB assessments. I am actively trying to expand my photography across genres but my comfort zone still lies in macro work.
I am thoroughly familiar with Lightroom and Photoshop but have a lot more to learn to reach the standard I feel I need to achieve to make the best of my image concepts.
We look forward to welcoming Paul to Winchester.
In my younger years, I enjoyed being a US soccer referee for 10 or 12 years and so I am comfortable with making judgements that are not necessarily popular with all! My company was very strong on performance appraisals and so I am practiced with the principles and practice of constructive feedback.
Having received the excellent training from SCPF, I hope I will develop to be a successful club judge despite having seen how difficult the task can be – both in terms of differentiating between great images and being positive about less wonderful ones!

About Andrew Mills
According to Andrew’s website
Andrew is a professional photographer specialising in Advertising, Editorial and Commercial photography.
He has a professional practice covering all aspects of Studio and Location work, advertising, editorial, documentary and commercial projects for a broad range of clients.
Andrew is a qualified lecturer on all aspects of photography, from beginners to degree level.
He has staged exhibitions on a wide range of photographic subjects. He also runs Workshops, Talks, Lectures and Courses for to photographic clubs and societies.
One of the subjects in his talks/workshop portfolio is “Methods for Critique and Evaluation – Judging Club Photography”. His workshop notes include a useful “cheat sheet” on Analysis and Judgement of Amateur Photography
Andrew is a member of the Ordnance Survey Photographic Society
We’ve welcomed Andrew as our judge several times. He is a senior (Level 3) judge on the SCPF circuit.
In 2021-22, he was our judge for PDI Round 1. In 2020-21, he judged Print Round 1, and in 2019 he was a judge for the WPS Annual Exhibition

About Chris
Chris is a Level 3 judge on the SCPF circuit, a member of Yately Camera Club and a speaker at photography clubs.
Chris attended an art school as a teenager but was unable to complete his studies. He took up photography as a hobby instead but spent most of his career in the transport industry. Just after the Millennium, he found that the cost of printing photographs had fallen. He felt the need to embark on a project and see if he could publish or exhibit some of the results to the public.
He thought he’d try to capture the human body in new ways – after all, he thought, the human form is one of the commonest things around – everybody’s got one!
His project formed part of the Viewpoint travelling exhibition put on by The Photographic Angle

About Peter
Peter is an experienced level 2* judge on the SCPF circuit.
As well as being a busy judge, Peter is in demand for his talks on his favourite photographic subject, Street Photography.
Street Photography was the theme of Peter’s panel for his ARPS, which he achieved in October 2017.

About Pietro
Peter is a highly experienced Level 3 judge on the SPF circuit. He was one of the judges for the WPS 2020 Annual Exhibition which, because of the pandemic, was held as an exhibition for digital images.
As a mature student Peter obtained an Honours Degree of Bachelor of Arts in Photography with First Class Honours, which provided an ideal opportunity to experiment, research & try out new ideas. Subsequently, his photography has been considerably influenced by time at the University of Portsmouth. The overlying aim of his work is to communicate significant facts about the subjects and their surroundings.
He enjoys entering International exhibitions and has had work accepted in the prestigious London Salon and Edinburgh exhibitions as well as other worldwide exhibitions.
Peter was Vice President of the SCPF 2015 – 17 and President 2017 – 19.
Pietro is a member of Chichester Camera Club where he was recently awarded Life Membership in recognition of his many years of service to the club.
